Greetings All,
On behalf of the Maine Rose Society, I welcome every visitor to our wonderful website. Thank you one more time, Sari, for all your work and interest as our webmaster. We hope with taking the tour thru our site you will be intrigued enough to attend one of our functions, and enjoy that so much you will want to become a regular member. Come one, come all, we welcome you.
I feel we have a real good start to a very full, enjoyable and fun year. We will have a meeting almost every month plus the functions we have planned. It is my belief that to keep things rolling and everyone in tune to the society we do need to meet for a regular meeting once a month. We will test this theory and see if everyone agrees.
I have a wonderful group of officers and board of directors with me, for this I am very grateful. I do think we will be able to get things done and have lots of fun along the way. One thing I want to ask of each and every member is for your input. We all want to keep everyone interested and everyone an active part of this great society. Learning all we can and having fun doing it is my goal.
The annual Rose Sale is going along smoothly, thanks to a great committee. We will have 300 roses for sale again this year, from three different suppliers. We feel we have chosen a good variety and have all types of roses to offer for sale this May. There are grafted, budded and own root plants from the newest varieties to the old garden tried and true. We will have good prices, good plants, good advice and good fun, be sure to come to our sale and bring lots of friends with you! This is our only fundraiser, we hope to have another great sale to rival the success of last year! Please check our website often for more information .
We have at least one garden tour planned this summer. There will be one at our garden on July 9th. Again, please check our website for more information.
Thank you for your interest in our Maine Rose Society, please visit our website often, there will be many points of interest posted there.
Sincerely,
Joan M. Gotlibson
