MRS Annual Rose Show

We regret to inform everyone that the Maine Rose Society Rose show, scheduled for this Sunday, June 29, is cancelled. A survey of members and potential participants indicate that the harsh winter and cold wet spring has resulted in delayed flowering of roses. The phenomenon of few roses being displayed at rose shows has been a common one throughout the Yankee District in earlier shows. There are gardens with good blooms, but they appear to be in the minority. By cancelling at this time, we can inform out-of-state judges who would otherwise travel to Maine, and cancell the hall for the show.
