Officers Present:  President Frank O’Connor, Vice President Vaughn Hardesty, Secretary Wilma Sarna, Treasurer Claire Homan, Board of Directors: Margaret Edwards, Joan Gotlibson, Wendy Kemp, Steve Law

 

Officers Absent:  Board of Directors: Merle Bacastow, Ralph Carpenter

Also Present:  Elaine Law, Clarence Rhodes

 

 

2001 MRS Rose Show –

 

The meeting was brought to order by President Frank O’Connor.  The primary purpose of this meeting is to prepare for the upcoming Rose Show, scheduled for July 1, 2001 at Verillo’s Convention Center.  The contract with Verillo’s has been executed and Verillo’s will provide 20 tables to be placed around the perimeter of the room.  Set-up will begin at about 6:00 a.m.  Clarence Rhodes will supervise the set-up. Steve Law will tally the number of awards needed and give the number to Claire Homan who is in charge of purchasing awards and class/entry cards.  Steve will also print award certificates.  Vases and set-up supplies are stored with Ralph Carpenter.  Meredith Delessandro, Lilyan Brower and Sarah Williams should be consulted for suggestions on efficient clerking.  There should be three teams of judges/clerks/runners.  Clarence will assign judges to classes.
