Be like a rose, when fully grown
The Sweetest, truest flower that’s known
This rose no mission has or had
Except to bloom and to be glad.
In every petal slow unfurled
Just in herself she serves the world.
Should you as perfect grow as this
No added virtue, grace, or bliss
Could earth or heaven to your disclose.
My sermon, then is just, be like THE ROSE.
From an old issue of MRS "Rose Bowl"
