MRS FAQs Post: March 21, 2006

It was a gift to me last summer from some dear friends to plant in memory of my deceased Mother. (They are from NJ and I am in NH) However, I do not believe that it has survived (perhaps due to the location I planted it). So, I would like to replace it with a new plant (and put it in a sunnier location). Can you help? I have searched the web everywhere and no notation of "Acadia Roses and Yellowstone variety".

Thank you.

I found a tag on one of my roses. The Nursery is Hoboken Gardens, Rt.#1, Rockport, ME (207) 236-3023. The website to look them up is: www.nationalparksroses.com I have this rose & have it planted in a very sheltered spot in my yard. I have had it for 5 years now. And it is a Poulsen Rose, not a Kordes. I didn't get anything right in my first email, it seems, except the nusery is on Route 1.

There is a greenhouse on Route One in Camden, I believe-not Plants Unlimited-on the right hand side of the road going towards Bar Harbor, just past the place that sells cheese that carries the Parks series of roses. I don't know the name of the greenhouse. I hope I described it enough so someone does know it.
